Mario Kicker grew up in Germany, but his curiosity led him abroad. In Amsterdam, he began his formal education in the visual arts at the renowned Gerrit Rietveld Academy. After leaving the academy in 2014, he dedicated himself entirely to art and began exhibiting his works.
He is known for his multi-layered 2D and 3D pieces, which offer aesthetically engaging interpretations of social and philosophical themes. In his work, he combines traditional and digital techniques to depict the complexity of life, and through his exhibitions, he actively promotes inclusivity to spark societal discussions.
His art is shaped by the spirit of the times, life, and transience. He works with mixed media, favoring oil, acrylic, and lacquer paints, and integrates digital elements into analog creations. Inspired by artists like Albert Oehlen and the Bauhaus movement, his works are both formally impressive and thematically significant.
As the founder of the art collective "DIE mARkT" and a member of the French national association of visual artists "La Maison des Artistes," his works have been exhibited across Europe, including at the Black Heath Gallery in London and Halle 50 in Munich.
